Set up almost 33 years ago in May 1976, The Cooking Club has been a phenomenal success. With Anton B. Dougal relentlessly at its helm, The Club always had one scope in mind – that of teaching and increasing the interest in cooking amongst both women and men.
It all started with members sending a typed recipe in a self addressed envelope to The Club. Soon enough, the wealth of recipes collected, formed a menu of three volumes and the first cooking magazine in Malta.
Thanks to the insatiable popularity of The Club, over the years, Anton B. Dougal published numerous cooking publications, which have been translated into four different languages. With 33 years of success under its wing, this year The Club will once again release various other publications, as well as a cooking encyclopaedia for all to enjoy.
From the very first year, The Club started organizing cooking courses. Thousands flocked to learn from the best, and this was when The Club purchased its official premises in Valletta . |
